At Shape Optics, we inspect and test every optical component to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Furthermore, our quality team verifies critical optical and mechanical parameters before shipment. As a result, customers receive products that deliver reliable performance and consistent quality.
Optical Components Warranty
All standard optical components supplied by Shape Optics include a 30-day limited warranty from the date of delivery.
If you identify a quality issue or believe a product does not conform to the agreed specifications, please contact us within the warranty period. Our team will review the issue promptly and recommend the most appropriate solution.
Return Authorization Required
All returns require a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Therefore, customers must request a RAN before returning any product. In addition, customers should submit the request within the applicable warranty period.
Packaging Requirements
Customers should package returned products securely and include the issued RAN. Whenever possible, customers should use the original packaging to protect the product during transit.
Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless we agree otherwise in writing.
However, if a product fails to meet the agreed specifications and we approve a replacement, Shape Optics will cover the shipping cost of the replacement item.
Inspection and Evaluation
After receiving the returned product, our quality team will inspect and evaluate the reported issue. Subsequently, we will determine the appropriate corrective action.
Depending on the evaluation results, Shape Optics may provide:
- A replacement product
- A repair service
- A credit note
- A refund, where applicable
Lens Design Policy
Shape Optics performs all optical and lens design services according to customer-supplied specifications and requirements.
Therefore, customers should review and verify all specifications, performance targets, and application requirements before design work begins. In addition, early verification helps prevent delays and unnecessary redesign costs.
Lens Assembly Warranty
Shape Optics provides a one-year limited warranty on lens assemblies covering defects in workmanship and assembly quality.
In addition, customers receive technical support throughout the warranty period. Furthermore, our engineering team can assist with troubleshooting, performance evaluation, and technical documentation when required.
Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
Customers may submit NCRs directly to our Singapore office. Once we receive a valid NCR, we will acknowledge the report and begin our investigation.
Furthermore, we will provide an initial response or investigation update within 14 business days.
First Article Inspection (FAI)
For customers seeking additional confidence before full-scale production, Shape Optics offers a First Article Inspection (FAI) program.
The FAI process allows customers to evaluate production-quality parts before volume manufacturing proceeds, helping to reduce risk and verify compliance with agreed specifications.
